‘Casa da Praia’ is the home of Anabela Almeida’s grandparents in Mozambique. It was there that, in the early 70’s, the family spent their weekends, 200km from Nampula, on Chocas beach. Grandparents, parents, uncles, cousins and friends. In 2019 the family returned to Nampula and Chocas beach. How has the time altered the memories, feelings, and the family’s view of the events of that time? The show recovers this personal experience, in parallel with the story of Mozambique.
‘Casa da Praia’ is complemented by the action ‘Histórias da História’, through which the creation will be shared with a class of the Artistic Professional course from Passos Manuel Elementary and Secondary School in Lisbon.
