We haven’t heard anything of this new stellar group CHÃO MAIOR. Circles, is according to their own description, a series of “cyclical compositions that relate to a spatiality where melody, harmony and rhythm take place in the form of drift, gravitating around an elastic time, 3 wind instruments, guitar, voice and drums.”. Composed of trumpet player Yaw Tembe, these circles are drawn by the hands, winds and minds of Leonor Arnaut (voice), Norberto Lobo (guitar), João Almeida (trumpet), Yuri Antunes (trombone) and Ricardo Martins (drums), in a “topology in which the coordinates vary according to the breathing cycle of each musician”.
