The concert will take place at the Aquário, being compliant with the rules of social distancing provided by the DGS. Following the rules of social distancing provided by the DGS, the capacity is limited and use of mask is mandatory.

“Deriva” is a project idealized by João Almeida and Ricardo Martins, who having already collaborated together in other projects (Chão Maior), now decide to create a piece based on the search, using modular synthesizers and the processing of the trumpet and the battery.
A piece lasting about 45 minutes, with the intention of altering and conducting the listeners’ emotional state.

João Almeida

Trumpeter co-founder of the improvised music trio, “Sismos”, formed by Phillip Santos (drums) and João Carreiro (guitar). He has been collaborating with musicians such as Gabriel Ferrandini, Pedro Alves Sousa, Hernâni Faustino, Hugo Antunes and Maria do Mar de Brito Lopes and was also invited to join the group “Chão Maior” of the trumpeter Yaw Tembe, constituted by Yuri Antunes (Trombone), Ricardo Martins (Drums), Leonor Arnaut (Voice) and Norberto Lobo (Guitar). He has collaborated with the Hotclube de Portugal Jazz Orchestra having the opportunity to share the stage with renowned musicians in the national and international scene such as João Mortágua, Julian Arguelles, Perico Sambeat, John Hollenbeck and Guillermo Klein.

Ricardo Martins

Lisbon-based Drummer and Graphic Designer. Currently playing drums in Pop Dell’Arte, Jibóia, Chão Maior, Earth Electric, Papaya, ALGUMACENA, his duo with João Almeida, Silvar, his Solo Project, for the theater play Guardador de Sonhos and the new JGM play As Febres de Lisboa. Co-founder of Desisto in 2013, has been working there as a Graphic Designer since.
