It is in the idyllic landscapes of Quebec that the most exciting garage rock in Canada is born. Paul Jacobs, a man with sharp guitars, where the happy songs get more excited with the fast rhythmic sections and fuzz-filled pedals. An ironic scenario of filthy happiness for the explosion of catatonic riffs, fueled by high lo-fi vociferating and based on the ancestors of punk.

“Story About Anything”, the EP (Story About Anything) and the album (EASY (Plus extra S***T), both released this year, stamp Paul Jacobs’ concert at ZDB’s Aquário, an absolute debut in our country.

Fugly are not just a set of friends composing music of mass destruction. They are the voice of a generation that did not pass through punk, but felt the need to call it with relative urgency. The band’s youth goes through frantic compositions, verses of jovial wisdom and riffs that go straight to the subject. They can see the days passing by in front of a console or skateboarding in their hands, however, these millennials do not resign themselves and carry anarchist nostalgia to the stage.
