A collective exhibition featuring the works of Gabriel Abrantes, Tiago Baptista, Mattia Denisse, Alexandre Estrela, João Maria Gusmão & Pedro Paiva, Musa Paradisiaca (Eduardo Guerra and Miguel Ferrão), Filipe Felizardo, Carlos Gaspar, Silvia Prudêncio, Alexandre Rendeiro and Rigo 23

To celebrate its 18th anniversary, ZDB will be presenting a collective exhibition with works of the artists with whom have established a close intellectual relationship with, and also the works of emerging artists that have been developing their work with us through artistic residencies for the past three years.

The present political, social and economic situation – where money and greed outweigh the collective interests – like a Kafkaesque scenario rather than an advanced civilization is the theme of the exhibition.

This exceptional moment provides a unique opportunity for each individual to review and reflect on their experience of reality. In this context, of prevailing pessimism, the artists are addressing the notion of perception and reality to produce potential fictional works that highlight- with humor – a desired and different experience.
