Woyzeck is a social model play, which follows the main character towards the abyss. Based on real events, Büchner’s text dramatizes the case of a man sentenced to death for a crime of passion. Büchner consults the court case file and medical reports on Joseph Woyzeck’s psychological state and seeks, with the text he writes, to analyze the social and human context of the condemned man. Cláudio da Silva, Carolina Dominguez and Pedro Paiva propose with Woyzeck, Fuk’em’ol! to scenically rewrite and present Büchner’s text that will extend its dramaturgy to the Hesse Manifesto, to material collected from the author’s letters and to other materials in order to amplify and contextualize the reading of this contemporary classic.
