GRAVV. at ZDB

Sat28.06.2506:00PM
Galeria Zé dos Bois

GRAVV. is an artistic voice from the periphery. A collective founded by and for young people who flee the frustration of an increasingly centralized and dormant environment, this platform is a launch pad for constant metamorphosis. It represents the anxiety of wanting to arrive on time but not knowing if the train is coming, and aims to be an unconventional safe haven. Setting poetry to music, describing landscapes, shouting out insecurities, listening to silence.

Desert Smoke

Exploring the world of stoner and psychedelic rock, Portuguese quartet Desert’Smoke presents an instrumental show that mixes the power of rock and contemplative psychedelia with the beats of a symbiotic rhythm section. Having played at some of Portugal’s biggest venues and festivals, opening gigs for bands such as Elder and The Obsessed. A desert journey created by André ROCHA on guitar, João ROMÃO on guitar, João NOGUEIRA on bass, and Cláudio AURÉLIO on drums. They arrive at ZDB during their European tour, where they have been presenting their new self-titled album with a unique concert in Lisbon.

Ben Yosei

Portuguese singer, producer, and composer Ben Yosei creates and composes prayers. It is difficult to compare his work to traditional forms of popular music, as it often resembles lullabies, liturgical missals, purifying meditations, and rituals of transcendence.

Pato Bernardo

An anonymous experimental rock trio that seeks to combine musical surrealism with the experience of the abstract. With a new look after the release of their debut EP ‘A Sombra do Cháo’ a year ago, they appear on Rua da Barroca to practice classic safodismo with Lagardère-style improvisation and minimalism.

Durvena Cabina

From Schist to Kaleidoscope. Do you remember the house you saw when you were little?
Durvena Cabina is an experimental music project combining drone, folk, noise, black metal, ritual, and psychedelia.

alga

alga, pseudonym of cláudia simões, is interested in music from a performative and emotional perspective, taking the listener on a sensory and supernatural journey through a deeply personal and evocative soundscape. In September last year, she unveiled “MATERDOLOROSA,” her first mini-album in tribute to the women in her family, composed of field recordings and improvisations.

CARLOS?

CARLOS? is a supersonic duo where Martim and João continuously explore each other through noise, pulsations, and syncopation. The question prompts the answer that these two try to unravel on stage.

Máquina de Fumo

Originally from Madeira, this duo discovered an oasis of creativity and freedom in Lisbon that motivated them to showcase their music. Coming from a semi-rural background, Afonso Inácio on vocals and wire guitar and Francisco Silva on vocals and percussion remain faithful to the carefree and simple style characteristic of the popular genres of Madeira, which were part of their learning process.
In this short appearance, they debut new songs and songs by others, maintaining the spirit of the people, who play what they like and then say it is folk music. It is collective memory.

Francisca Dantas

‘Matriosca’ from Lumiar, music is my life. Francisca Dantas, the poet of the people, presents her mini poetry book Z ‘ropamais’ on the terrace. It’s a yellow book, but not just because the pages are yellow—all the lines are equally good, except for the white ones. “There’s a lot of laundry to do, but I don’t wash clothes in public. Dantas naked is horrible. One of these days, I’m going to tattoo a star inside a rectangle on my forearm,” she says.

Arni

GRAVV, personified as a DJ, is a whole panoply and a panoply of everything. Founder of Breakada and boss of the decks, he closes tonight with a platinum key and promises to warm all souls and legs that can still stand in a set immersed in the world of Bass. The floor always suffers a little.
