PIZZA (space) TIME!!!
Guided tour with the artist João Marçal of the exhibition Pizza Space-Time, followed by a Pizza Party and drinks on the terrace of ZDB.
Opening of ‘Fricção Científica’ (Scientific Friction), by Beatriz Capitulé (at no. 49)
We all realize that the world is falling apart. It is not surprising that Beatriz, using manipulated drawings rooted in geological morphologies, natural phenomena, and solid bodies derived from nature, has produced a series of paintings—which some would call wool tapestries. In this endeavor, the artist is committed to reminding us, through her formal experimentalism, that the unbalanced interaction between man and nature has erupted into precipitations, muddy falls, cyclonic winds, and more.
Opening of ‘Ao Longe Endireita’ (In the Distance, It Straightens Up) by Luís Rocha (at Zé dos Bois bookstore)
Luis Rocha explores the exhibition space of Livraria Zé dos Bois, playing with the distortion that distance imposes on the viewer’s perception and with his own relationship with the place and the works. If some elements can alter the way we observe the paintings in this installation, so can our position, offering different points of view from which new configurations of the same work emerge.
