The Twist Connection

The Twist Connection are back with an album that is a celebration of pure rock ‘n’ roll. The new album, “Concentrate, Give it up, It’s too late,” consists of eight great songs and is a short, sober, and direct record that clearly shows where the band comes from and where it wants to go.
Uncompromising, with their usual dedication and courage, this album stands out as one of the high points of the band’s career. The realization that time waits for no one is one of the driving forces behind this new work, where life—with its despair, love, losses, and constant thefts—is once again the central theme. The Twist Connection thus continue on their path, faithful to the energy that characterizes them and ready for another chapter in their discography. With “Crime” and “Concentrate” as advance singles—Concentrate has been playing on the radio since February—the album confirms the essence of The Twist Connection: a powerful sound marked by focus and passion for rock.
In “Concentrate,” Tracy Vandal’s special guest appearance adds a new layer of brilliance: her voice intertwines perfectly with the song’s pulsating rhythm.
But there’s more to discover. Tracks such as “I Can’t Breathe Now” and the other compositions that make up this work demonstrate the maturity of a band that has built a solid career, where talent and persistence have brought them this far – ready for new heights and with a sound that belongs to them and no one else. There is no clearer proof than the fingerprints scattered throughout this album.

The Middle People

The Middle People, Mikey Georgeson and António Olaio – artists with an uncanny connection – entangled by a shared pleasure of the uncanny. They are based on the same timeline, Antonio in Coimbra, Portugal and Mikey in West Sussex, England. Their’s is the pleasurable sound of the abyss in a haunted bluetooth headset. They met by chance at Antonio’s and Richard Strange’s “When You Awake You Will Remember Nothing”, Courtyard Theatre, Hackney, London. António Olaio has established an unparalleled presence in the context of the Portuguese visual arts and Mikey has recently taken his ritual spaces to LA (AC institute) and Athens (Platforms Projects). By virtue of their multi-disciplinary approaches, they are forerunners in performative areas where visuality, sound, poetry and voice intersect in an idiosyncratic creative dynamic.

“Revenge of the Killjoys” is their debut LP which they presented at the Farsight Gallery in London in February 2025.
