With an international career and a body of work characterised by a vivid artistic imagination and recognised technical creativity, Alexandre Estrela is the Portuguese representative at the 2026 Venice Art Biennale.
RedSkyFalls connects Venice to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Lima, Mexico City and Lisbon — actively seismic locations where, more often than not, the work’s response may coincide with the physical experience of the natural phenomenon that triggers it. In Lisbon, Galeria Zé dos Bois is hosting a reproduction of one of the RedSkyFalls installations.
To ensure that visitors who are blind or have low vision can enjoy the exhibition in its entirety, a guided tour with audio description is being organised for 10 October at 4pm. It is also possible to arrange a second tour, on a date and at a time to be confirmed, should this be necessary.
