Crossed

CROSSED was formed in Madrid in 2017 by members of local bands Mr.mime, Eros+Massacre, and Boneflower. With the goal of creating an abrasive, complex, and violent sound, they released their first self-produced EP titled Language Dissolution Because Everything is in Eternal Void, with which they toured the Spanish Peninsula, slowly gaining recognition. Their next objective was to record their debut full-length at Montealto Studios in Cal Pau, with Borja Perez supporting them as producer and technician.
From this effort came their first album, Barely Buried Love, a collection of thirteen tracks featuring a much faster, heavier sound with melodic touches interrupted by metallic riffs. They toured the Spanish mainland promoting the album until the pandemic brought their activities to a halt. In 2020, they isolated themselves in their rehearsal space to record their latest album, MORIR, which captured all the frustration and bitterness amplified by the pandemic. Released in 2022, the album was presented in several tours across various cities in Spain. This album, with a more mature sound and lyrics in Spanish (a contrast to their previous work), was recognized by several media outlets, including Rockdeluxe magazine, as one of the best national albums of 2022. The raw and visceral sound is evident throughout the album, with passages that lean towards industrial. That same summer, they entered the studio to record a split with the band Vibora—two noisy tracks with melodic undertones reminiscent of ’90s mathcore and hardcore bands like Converge and Botch. They toured Europe in December 2022 to promote the split, performing 13 dates. In 2023, with some lineup changes, Javi replaced Desan on guitar, and they began composing a new EP and full-length album. The EP, Vida Quieta, was released in April 2024 via the American labels Zegema Beach and Through Love Records. It features four more experimental tracks compared to their previous works, yet still carries the visceral intensity and heaviness they’re known for. In 2024, they will present the new EP on a tour through the United States in May, while finishing their upcoming album Realismo Ausente, set for release in March 2025.

Mouthful of Grief

Mouthful of Grief is a raw, chaotic, and emotionally scorched take on Hardcore. The band explores themes of abuse, mental illness, death, rebirth, and the slow, violent process of healing. Their sound blends the unrelenting aggression of Powerviolence and Chaotic Hardcore with the suffocating textures of Noise and Black Metal.
It’s catharsis without resolution – ugly and alive. Sitting in the wound, refusing to look away.

Rodolfo Sobral & Pedro Tavares

Rodolfo Sobral and Pedro Tavares are Setúbal District-based artists who create experimental, improvisation-driven sound works. Their collaborations, including Having Friends Over and A New Accident Model, explore the boundaries of music through live processing and sound design. Together, they craft immersive auditory experiences that blur the line between composition and chance.
