solos is an ongoing research project that emerged from the segundas na z program.
Drawing on the inherent qualities of the solo, the project invites and challenges different people to look inward at their practice and to expand and reimagine new boundaries for what a solo can [be].
A collective is as strong—or stronger—as the recognition of the countless solos that compose it.
How can a solo inform the collective? How does the structure and survival of the collective also depend on the strength and design of the different solos?

Ana Oliveira e Silva and Gonçalo Alegria

(Born already having to leave, rushing headlong drop by drop.)

This name isn’t even used anymore. Nowadays, it’s called drywall—a sandwich whose origin can only be uncovered by tapping it with your knuckles, knock knock of a false wall. Looking at it, it seems to offer us shelter, but it’s a cheap, temporary covering for families to live in.
Our bodies seek two or three things. The relationships between us and others, the search for freedom, and to truly understand if there is, beneath the ground, a beach.
There is NO horizon at the end, and we drive around in our cars.

Ana de Oliveira e Silva and Gonçalo Alegria, cat lovers, destroyers of facts, come together on Monday without much fanfare.
