MIZU

MIZU builds expansive soundscapes through her singular cello playing. Her trademark compositions meld self-recorded layers of the instrument with both electronic manipulation and experimental production.

MIZU’s two self-produced albums, Forest Scenes and Distant Intervals, received attention from Pitchfork, NOWNESS Asia, Bandcamp Daily, New Sounds, Stereogum, and Them.

Notable live performances include a European debut at Rewire Festival, opening for Tim Hecker, performances at The Brooklyn Museum, The Noguchi Museum, and a headlining United States tour.
MIZU scored the music for 4 | 2 | 3, a full-length contemporary dance production by Baye & Asa, which premiered at The Baryshnikov Arts Center and was featured in The New York Times.

Fangs

Fangs is a solo project of Sebastian Kubit, a visual artist and musician from Lisbon, Portugal.
Fangs music draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, spanning from William Basinski to Oneohtrix Point Never to the Goslings and back, as well as the more intense and harsh recordings of Wagner and motets. However, he focuses on forging a distinct sound by creatively misusing software in unconventional ways.
He strives to achieve of sense of “outsideness” is his music – an alien sound driven by pure obsession with the unknown and the beyond.
Sound and fury, signifying nothing.

“In the midst of a manic episode fueled by deep internet chatholes, energy drinks and psychonautic sleep deprivation experiments, an idea came to me from the future, and it dug itself into my spine where it lays dormant until it reactivates in me the mania it needs to become part of the present”
– Fangs (Sebastião)
