A talent still in discovery for many Western ears, the Japanese Eiko Ishibashi has achieved in recent years an aura of worship. Curious for the origin of things, the technical mastery she has over various instruments, from which piano and percussion stand out. Extremely prolific, Jim O’Rourke is the magician’s ally in the production, after star collaborations with Merzbow, Charlemagne Palestine, Keiji Haino or Oren Ambarchi. The diversity of his characters is reflected in an irreverent but also graceful discography, including the most recent ‘The Dream My Bones Dream’, a jewel edited last year by Drag City.
