Loke Rahbek (1989) is a Danish experimental musician and producer. He cofounded the Copenhagen based record label Posh Isolation in 2009 with Christian Stadsgaard, which also marked the beginning of his music career. He has an incredibly prolific and varied discography under many aliases and groups, with some of his most notable projects being his solo alias Croatian Amor, and the groups Lust for Youth and Damien Dubrovnik. Frederik Valentin (1985) is a Danish composer and multimedia artist. He began his music career in the mid 2000’s in the rock band Rock Hard Power Spray, eventually leading to later works released with the Copenhagen-based label Posh Isolation. Valentin has a wide-ranging discography in which pop explorations sit alongside ambient and experimental electronic releases. Most recently, Valentin has been working with Yung Lean as both producer on his Nectar and Sugar World albums as Jonatan Leandoer127 as well as on their commission for Sweden’s Cullberg Ballet.
Their first collaboration found a way into the world in 2017 with the album ‘Buy Corals Online’. Their previous work already established them as two of the most exciting musicians in Denmark when it comes to experimental electronic music, power electronics and ambient. Over time, they began incorporating more analogue instruments — guitar, viola, piano — to their (mostly) freeform productions, adding a newfound warmth and organic feeling. For the 2022 edition of Danish documentary festival CPH:DOX, Rahbek and Valentin were commissioned to create an alternative soundtrack to Sans Soleil by Chris Marker. This soundtrack was released as the album Together in 2022.
Their latest project, the score for the short film Un Miratge, will be released after the film premiere as an album: MOVING PICTURES (MUSIC FOR A MIRAGE), and involve a 40-minute live audio-visual show.
