Lean Left invite Luís Vicente (on the 14th) and Carlos Zíngaro (on the 15th).

If we do not call the Lean Lefs a super group, it is because the very community nature of jazz, made up of sharing and open dialogue, is immediately given to more or less pressing encounters between the enlightened in line with this and other languages of liberation. Even so, and if it weren’t for the very expression so loaded with mercantilism, a band that gathers Ken Vandermark’s saxophone, Paal Nilssen-Love’s drums and Terrie Ex and Andy Moore’s guitars in the same space is really coined for this kind of hyperbole.

Already with seven albums edited, Lean Left open a panorama of dynamics ranging from the fire created by the stormy dissonances of the strings, in mimetic explosions with the roar of the saxophone and the noise of the drums to moments of textual abstraction carrying tension and silence.

Luís Vicente and Carlos Zíngaro were invited to collaborate with the band, as if to perpetuate this feeling of community that was mentioned above in this text. As if injecting new realities into this life.
