A Luta Continua (1977)
By Asdrúbal Rebelo and Bruno Muel
(doc,16’)
To be presented in digital format.

Filmed in February 1976, A Luta Continua (The Struggle Continues) chronicles the integration of the pioneers of Lar 1º de Dezembro, especially those who fought on the front lines, into the then newly independent Angolan society. Directed by Asdrúbal Rebelo and Bruno Muel, the short film is a candid, tender, and intimate portrait of the daily lives of children and young people and their role in the (re)creation of a post-colonial Angola.

Há Sempre Alguém Que Te Ama (2004)
By Pocas Pascoal
(doc, 56’)
To be presented in digital format.

Filmed immediately after the end of the civil war in Angola, Há Sempre Alguém Que Te Ama (There Is Always Someone Who Loves You) chronicles Pocas Pascoal’s return to the country where she was born, in an attempt to reconstruct the episode that led to her capture in 1975, along with her mother and sisters. An intimate documentary about memory and self-(re)construction.
