What paths are mapped out together when sharing continues? In a friendship that extends beyond socio-relational value, what paths cross or zigzag, given that the work of correspondence involves much more than just listening? Through this listening, impressions, ideas, and reflections are shared, sowing images and certain visual and sensual universes. Why is it that, without knowing how, we recognize ourselves in the same curiosities?

In 2022, they presented their first Twilight Zone project after their artistic residency in Tomar, Twilight Zone of unarticulated images. Since then, they have maintained various forms of correspondence, namely in diaries. These diaries, which explore auto-theoretical reflections, a term used by Lauren Fournier, are reimagined to give way to a video and painting format. At the end of 2023, this sharing became more immediate through online media.

Correspondências (Correspondences) is a visual and experimental conversion of this exchange, a kind of meditative compost or humus: dancers, layered scales, bioluminescent beings, hearts, murmurs, invocations and anxieties, digested words and swallowed texts.

“You accompany me, even if from afar, and I accompany you. You are in my throat when I speak; you are on my scalp when I brush my hair; you are in the first yawn of the day; you are in the gesture of my hands when words fail me.”
