TENUE

Rural Punx Family from A Guarda (Galicia). Tenue is a broad-spectrum punk band that aims to blend sounds ranging from crust to post-metal, including elements of emo, blackgaze, screamo and whatever else they want. Formed by three friends from a rural Galician village in 2017, they recently added a fourth member from the defunct emocrust band URA (Bilbao). Tenue consider themselves a political collective rather than a music band, rooted in an anti-authoritarian and DIY spirit. They have released two LPs: ‘Anábasis’ (2018) and ‘Territorios’ (2021) and recently ‘Arcos, bóvedas, pórticos (2024).

Reia Cibele

Reia Cibele is an emerging post-hardcore band made up of four members from the Lisbon and Évora region. Bathing in the rivers of screamo and emoviolence, Reia Cibele seek to channel feelings of post-adolescent anguish and identity chaos into a sonic catharsis. Both live and on her first EP of the same name, the priority is, between extreme dissonances and melancholic consonances, to transpose the emotion of existential doubt not only into something audible, but above all into something raw and pure. Having already left their mark on the Portuguese underground, Reia Cibele will now showcase their new EP at their upcoming concerts, where they promise a unique experience.

LINGER

All the suffocation of hopelessness, addiction, personal devaluation and relationships that ‘don’t take us anywhere…’, accompanied by fast, riotous riffs, dissonant breakdowns and melodic, cathartic moments, explodes and drips down the walls like a purge that is still fresh, just realised. Ugly and chaotic, melancholic and catchy at times – Linger, with members scattered from north to south, conjured up in Montijo to explore the restless dance between the cutting guitars, outrageous drums and screams of despair they have to offer. This dance navigates and risks the vast spectrum of post-hardcore and metalcore from the beginning of the century. This loving and violent dysmorphia can be felt on the stages they play on and in the projects that are already out: the debut EP ‘HYAFS’ (2022) and the band’s most recent singles – ‘What Happened to The Lost Art of Headwalking?’ and ‘Sleep Forever’ (2024).

Violeta Azevedo

An artist with many years of fascinating activity, with a background in the founding of the meteor Savage Ohms and collaborations with names such as Jasmim, Felicia Atkinson or the band Menino da Mãe, Violeta Azevedo has been projecting a very particular universe on the transverse flute – but also on her voice – elevated by electronic processing. In her solitary way, an aura of mystery persists, characterised by the absence of permanent records in her own name, where each appearance reveals itself as a glimpse in space and time of a continuous work in progress in the shadows. Alive. From his breath, full of lyricism, which he sends to a beatific armada of pedals – some of his own creation – rises a flow of sound that honours the electronic pioneering spirit of the 50s and 60s and its memory through hauntology, capable of evoking in its flow droney particles, contemplative landscapes and the shimmering mist of some explorers of noise as dream material.
