“Who Shot Lieutenant Bruno“
Milson

The event opens at 10pm in the Sala Vermelha (Red Room) with Francisco Corrêa’s exhibition, “Who shot Lieutenant Bruno”, between painting and sculpture, about the identity and death of an old lieutenant whose face is unknown.
This will be followed, at 10.45pm, by the instrumental concert featuring Guilherme Fortunato (Guitar), together with Gonçalo Naia (Double Bass) and João Sousa (Drums), presenting vol.2 of “pretty tired, think i’ll go home now”.
Milson is in charge for the rest of the night on the decks.

“Who Shot Lieutenant Bruno” is an open investigation that sets out to reflect on the identity and death of a fictional character. Bruno, an old lieutenant, is presented through the objects that define him (his weapons, hat, medals, keys, etc.), which reveal traits of his personality.
The memory and legacy left by the character continue to exist in his things, rather than in his physical presence.

Francisco Corrêa

Francisco Corrêa was born in Lisbon in 1999, where he currently lives and works. He graduated in Painting from the Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa.
His work focuses on the dialog between painting and sculpture. The works he creates are situated between reality and fiction, just like a memory that, with each attempt to bring it to the surface, loses strength and takes on new meanings. In an attempt to create a visual universe that, without pretending to be serious, is both sophisticated and innocent.

Guilherme Fortunato

Guilherme Fortunato is a musician and guitarist from Castelo Branco who has been living and concentrating most of his professional activity in Lisbon since 2019. In 2024, he released “pretty tired, think i’ll go home now”, a debut EP that captures the essence of modern routine through the guitar. With a folk sound that intertwines with Americana influences, the tracks evoke the feeling of routine tiredness and the desire to simply go home.
