Adrift on the tides of sound, we are Sargasso, caught.
Our music is a spontaneous sea without shores – a structure born from chaos, like the submerged bones of ships. We search for the unfathomable in the growing murmur: the sound of the depths that never rest, where time stretches and bends, like an open horizon. Fragments of submerged light touch hidden surfaces while deafened currents carry stories that never end. The untamed Sargasso echoes, where every note is an endless beginning and every sound an abyss without a fall. Reflecting what we call the Sea, that glittering movement of indifferent and uncontrollable waters. We are not the creators of the Sea, but rather the Sargasso that accompanies it.
Each gesture responds only to what is already there.
Karnites is made up of Diogo Cabrita and Lourenço Motta Veiga and they’ve been playing together since 2014, initially with more people. Today they are a synthesiser and distortion duo.
