Next Friday, July 26, at 6h30 p.m., the curator Sérgio Mah will meet with the artist Anne Lefebvre for a talk on the works she presents at the exhibition Kraczevo.

Through a tour of the exhibition will be explored the work of Anne Lefebvre, which often stems from manipulating the structural elements of photography to create works that establish direct dialogues with some of the practices and conceptual concerns of the historical avant-gardes.

Anne Lefebvre

Anne Lefebvre was born in 1963 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. She studied painting at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and photography at the Parsons School in the same city. Her work has been widely exhibited in France, Belgium and Germany. Alongside occasional presences in collective exhibitions, Anne Lefebvre has been present in Portugal mainly through the books she edited with Pierre von Kleist.

Sérgio Mah

Sérgio Mah has researched and written about the work of several artists and contemporary art topics, with special incidence on the issues surrounding image practices and theories, focusing particularly on the domains of photography, video and cinema.
