An unstoppable saxophonist with boundless energy for various projects in this and other cities, Pedro Sousa is recognized for his rare and natural ability to inhabit and blend different musical spheres. In his journey through various forms of jazz, edgy electronic music, offbeat rock, and improvisations without name or place, he never loses his personal touch and the integrity of the most honest and nonconformist artists. From his long-standing partnership with Gabriel Ferrandini – in the duo Volúpias, Casa Futuro, and more or less permanent formations – to EITR, occasional collaborations with bands such as Black Bombaim, and his most recent collaboration with Simão Simões. Elvin Brandhi, half of the father/daughter noise-improv duo ‘Yeah You’, returns to ZDB for a short artistic residency with Pedro Alves Sousa, culminating in this concert. Elvin Brandhi is a young artist who takes the intensity of the moment as a springboard to something greater. The eruption of the voice, the noise of electricity, and the machine-like rhythm are fundamental elements in her projects. The performative expressiveness with which she gives herself makes everything more urgent, fresh, and vital. NA

Porto, 1999. Bruna de Moura is a cellist, performer, and improviser. Despite having received classical training from the age of five until higher education, she decided to pursue a multidisciplinary path. Never forgetting her academic background, she transforms and expresses herself in various genres of contemporary music, both in original projects and playing with other artists. She navigates theater and cinema, the connection between music and the visual arts, and also music for dance. She plays in various projects, with MOURA as her main original project. Her debut solo EP will be released in 2025.
